Basic Info
Name:Rukia Kuchiki
Birthdate:1984-01-22
Bio
Physical Appearance & Personality of Character:
Short. Bean-sprout, really. Very childish appearance, on the surface, but underneath, she’s one of those monsters that are ready to force you into obedience through the wonderful, pacific ways of blackmail. Black eyes, black hair, very slim, but really fit under all those clothes—her knees are a lethal weapon, as the faces of many friends have been able to confirm. Rukia’s what you think about when you say “I may be short but I kick ass.”
Personality-wise, she’s complex. Everything depends on who she interacts with. Around co-workers, she is a bubbling, elegant young lady, always with a cheerful voice, a delightful smile, and a very correct and erudite vocabulary. Outside of her working circle, she’s a different person: she thrives on teasing her friends (one in particular), can be very manipulative, and so on. Nonetheless, there are things that coincide always: she takes good care of her friends, the few she has, even though said care is shown by sometimes hitting them when they’re being idiots; she has a high sense of honor, is a very determined person, hard-working and helpful to those in need, firm when she has to be. She doesn’t look down on people, instead seeing them as equals.

Background of Character:
Born in the ghetto, raised in the ghetto, got out of the ghetto as a teenager. Rukia has been an orphan for as long as she can remember. Living in the suburbs of Metropolis, at an orphanage, she learned the rules of the street pretty much by force: it was survive, or don’t. Even if she had to steal, or cheat, she didn’t particularly like it. Actually, she didn’t like it at all. A little group of smaller, ‘weaker’ children was formed, with Rukia serving as a solid pillar in it, almost like some sort of mother, sister, guardian, and everything in between. Slowly, all children of that group were being adopted, until it was down to Rukia, and another brash, slightly violent, too-smug boy. The first years of school passed with her and said boy forming a friendship, but then fate decided to separate them. Rukia found out she had a sister, who had married into a rich family, and now she was being taken under the wing of said family, adopting their family name: Kuchiki.

After that, most things changed. Her school changed, she was placed into a different high-school, and the last she heard of her childhood friend, Renji, was that he’d joined a gang, and made himself a name for it—she plans to give him a good scolding for this stupid act. In high-school, she made another friend, still a boy, who sort of reminded her of Renji, in that they were both childish, stupid boys. Though Ichigo tended to be less violent than Renji, Rukia was still there to knock some sense into his head, whenever things got dangerous. Not many years afterwards, she stumbled into a fight between Renji and Ichigo, stopped it by force, smacked them hard, and suggested they took some sort of sport to cool down the violence. The three have been good friends ever since, pulling through hardships such as Renji’s jail moments.

Rukia discovered her passion for journalism in college, at the hand of a kind professor. She finished her carrier in Journalism, and soon became a war-journalist. On her first expedition, one of her work-mates, and mentors, got killed by a suicide-bomber. From there on, Rukia went down into a state of depression that lasts even now, no matter how hard she tries to hide it. She didn’t quit her job, however, deciding to continue it and honor the memory of her deceased mentor; and soon found a job at a very peculiar newspaper, where surprisingly, her old friends also happened to work.
